Not really.

If a site looks like that a lot of people will exit the site straight away, it just looks untidy, unlike an artist website should look. Especially people in the art industry.

Now if you think about the statement above this means that the ads won't create much revenue, thus won't give much of a profit to any users (if any).

For a start the site has a side scroll (and my screen is big). Then theres the intrusive ad placement. Then theres the very badly designed logo, it all just makes up a very bad website. Looks like it's been thrown together by someone who doesn't give 2 shits.

 

i don't pretend knowing how an art website should look... anyway you are free to give your point of view.
Btw i agree with you for the ad its a bit too intrusive im taking it off...
also i guess i got your side scroll problem.
however I do like the logo
