Also, why should we wait till adsense hits $50?

wait till adsense hits 50 because that way the person who has lent you the domain name is sure that you will work to return his investment.

which means, when adsense hits 50 $, he gets back his 25 $ and you make an additional 25 $.

from thereon it should be 60 - 40 split

 

Why do you think it should be 60/40?
You only talk about client investment, and what about our time & money investment? You call $25 investment? This won't even cover our spendings! We need to build the whole website on each domain, publish unique content, set up everything, and regularly update the website! Isn't this a worthy investment?

 

A.) If 25 $ is so insignificant an investment then why do you need the domainer to pay it ?

B.) If you are 100 % sure that you are going to do an amazing job, why not just register a domain for 8 $ and do all that you claim you would do, and retain 100 % as profit.

If i'm lending you my premium domain name, then I am a bigger authority than you. You are just starting up something that can be easily replicated, but I hold something of tremendous value.

This is why I ( generalise it as the buyer ) should be always given exceptional *bargain* so that I buy and recommend your services.

PS : I dont do free consultancy so my session ends here .. lol ..

 

If I have no control over the content, how do I know that you are not going to do something that would end up getting my adsense account banned?

Why would we do anything like that? Our account would get banned also then. That's the main point of these 50% / 50%. We are the same interested as you are! That's why we'll do everything to increase earnings from adsense.
