    Thankx for this reply colin. But how can we be so sure that the term which was mostly searched previous year will be searched this year at the same time period? And if the searched and rising searched wont match the niche i am targeting then what is the next step?

    Because it's cyclic, many things are cyclic, they come back each and every year. So you simply need to apply a little common sense to spot and ignore those searches that were tied to the previous year, as I said a specific sport event (if not happening every year) or a TV show (that is not running again this year) or some celebrity making the news because of some event in their life (death, movie, etc)
    Those kind of things are not worth producing content about anymore. But all the rest is! Like diet programs before summer, gift ideas before motherday, the winner of an award ceremony happening yearly, etc.

    When you ask me "And if the searched and rising searched wont match the niche i am targeting" I say that you're not going about it the right way in my mind. The right way for me is to let google insights tell you what niches are interesting, not to try to force in your specific niche and see what can be done about it.

    I mean, if you really want to go the inferior way, you can also. Simply write your niche keywords in google insights and work from that.
    My advice of putting no keyword in google insight first is to know what niches are interesting traffic-wise. Once you have identified several niches you want to pursue, then of course you need to input the niches in google insights to dig in more.
