SEO is a rather broad topic...and one that changes constantly. But here is a little extra somethin' you may or may not know. You can insert titles into your hyperlinks as put a keyword or two there. The search engines index it and the spider does "see" it.
You probably want to use the same keyword. Say the keyword you are going for is "chocolate recipes" In the Title...put something like "Chocolate Recipes and More at whatever.com" The anchor text is the most important part. That is just something extra you can do.
According to some SEO "experts" though, using the exact same text in the title and other parts of the page can actually end up hurting your SEO efforts because of the overlap. My recommendation would be keep the keyword(s) in the title and anchor text, but mix it up a little so that they are not exactly the same.
This is common knowledge. Besides, the title attribute is used to provide additional information - so don't spam the search engines with it.
True every little bit should help, however a link would still have the same value if that title is left out. There is no emperical evidence to prove that backlinks made using the title element make a site do better in SERPS then the once which doesnt use. But keeping in mind the general aspect of SEO, every little bit should help .. only if we are clear about the reasons about the steps we take.
sure.. although that lil bit IMHO will not do any better alone.. Alone is the word I would use that the other way round " Quality has a quantity all its own "
