Hello, i installed eAccelerator on server and after around 1 hour i see it already created 4GB of data in /tmp/eaccelerator I want to ask what are these data good for? prunning them like hourly? I would rather save disk io and have it all in memory.. there is configuration option of eaccelerator, does it disable file caching?
You installed a PHP caching accelerator, that works by storing pre byte-code compiled copies to memory and disk... and now you want to nebfer how it works over a mere 4 gigs of disk space? :/ Lands sake even a crappy server has 120 times that capacity these days... Though honestly, kind of a waste of time since you could have just upgraded to PHP 5.5 since it comes with OPcache built in...
