E-tail is for sucjers The dotcom bubble taught us that shipping out big expensive itesm isnt a good business model. Dont fall into the etail trap. Tryto sell goods that dont require a big inventory space or expensive shipping.
Contrary to what has been posted above I was one of the webmaster for a start up onlline business for over a four year period. The groth in sales was phenominal in that time frame. The business was an old established brick and mortar store that had branched into catalog sales and hence e-commerce fit into their business model. The were already known nationally in their field and were involved in marketing through trade publications. A start up e-commerce business would probably be slow to build up. Shannon
Full of shit... That's all there is to say on this one. But in all fairness... Do indeed stay out of it
I guess the $million$ we made on the web last year was monopoly money. More words of wisdom from IamRed!
Nah, I'm not concerned about people, especially someone like Red getting into it. Even if he becomes a direct competitor. The dude is a T-O-O-L, plain and simple.
I've seen a company do a million in revenue the first year on th web, and over 2 million the second year, with a staff of about 3. I'm sure that they would also agree that etailing is for suckers.
Yeah man, but give him credit for starting the thread and give him some green too, no one deserves to die the RED DEATH
Revenue is not the same as net profit, moron. Most of you people dont have the faintest grasp of how business works. Everyone has their own success story, But for every success story there are 10 failures.
I think he started one positively that was something like - I don't wanna be Red anymore LOL - too bad, it descended into the usual...
