One of the employees at my company tried sending an e-mail to her cell phone, but made a typo in the phone's e-mail address and got a delivery failure notification message. That's normal, but she's been getting this same message over and over and over again, even though she only tried to send the message once. I know nothing about e-mail servers. I know which machine is our e-mail server, but I don't know how to do anything with it. Can anyone offer a good starting point? Thanks, Jason
What email server software are you running for a start? Sounds like a classic case of a mail loop, so just rejecting all mails from the looping address at SMTP time should fix things.
i had same exact problem. mail enable sends failuer notice on every retry. just reduce those retries or configure it to send failuer notice only once. i am not sure exact option to do it. its long time i have used MailEnable.
