E-mail marketing

    I really want to give email marketing a shot.
    I'm gonna signup to aweber, and install the script to my site.
    I know how to drive traffic to the site,and I have chosen a niche so I suppose collecting leads would be of no problem for me. However I don't know much about e-mail marketing.

    I have several questions, things like:

    What kind of stuff should I send the leads via email?

    How often should I send them e-mails?

    When should I start trying to sell something.

    Basically I'm looking for a beginners guide for email makreting, I tried searching google but I didn't find anything useful, could give me some nice links about email marketing

    I'm looking for free info, the site you listed sells a book, thanks anyway, I signed up to the 5 day mini-course,
    Any other decent free resources?

    The program with email marketing you first need other people to include or forward your mails to their main email address. Most people use different email address when signing-up to avoid getting spam mails.

    What I do sometimes, is I'll sign up for a newsletter in the same niche and see how they do their email marketing. Don't copy them exactly, but just get an idea of how they write there messages and how often.

    Aweber also has some good blog posts dealing with email marketing.

    If you are trying to get into email marketing, stay away from Aweber, it is made for newsletters. If you want to get into email marketing pm me I will send you in the correct direction.
