I would like to target specific demographics via e-mail to visit my website (offering discounts). Is there a software that can break down e-mails to specific demographics? Example: Females, age 18-40 or by zip code.

Email Marketing and Spamming should not be confused with one another. Building a targeted list and managing that list responsibly can lead to a tremendous amount of success. There are a number of options available, of course (including my own AutoResponder company). Targeting your own lists by geography will depend on whether you have collected geographical information in your lists. There are also email marketing companies that claim to be able to offer targeted selection. Be sure to double check where they got those lists from so that you don't end up sending expensive spam.
There are a couple of reputable email brokers that I have used in the past. Send me a PM and I can provide contact info. They can target by any demo's. Costs can fall anywhere from $150 to $400 per thousand addresses, but delivery is included in the cost. You just provide the HTML to them to send. When purchasing email lists, delivery is included because they are generally from companies that have a "Receive offers from our partners" opt-in when they are building their lists. But to keep you from spamming and ensure they comply with CAN-SPAM rules, they deliver. Once they respond to you, they become your lead.
