whats a good e-mail marketing program to use, I'm looking for a way to send out 1000's of e-mails at a time we have a pretty large e-mail list?
A list is the most valuable thing you can have. All serious marketers have an Aweber.com account for a reason. You can set timed delivery for unlimited messages. Their mail servers are whitelisted so everything you send goes right to the inbox. This is a MUST HAVE for any serious marketer. If you're going to spend money, do it on that so at least you retain the traffic you get, and you can set up a series of timed emails that will go out after you capture the lead. P.S. You can import your current list.
aliasx - No affiliate links in your posts bro. I've never used Aweber (they might be great - I can't say), but I have used Constant Contact (constantcontact.com) and they are great. Do a search for email marketing in Google and they come up #1.
Does every one have to confirm there e-mail or can I just manually add them with out people confirming because I have a large list from last 4 months around 1000 people, and if I add them its going to send out a confirmation and they might be wondering whats going on, see what I'm saying?
I use www.mobilizemail.com - our emails, using their service, get through. my client http://auckland.nzpif.org.nz sends over a thousand at a time.
I used to use Mailloop -- bit of expensive but reliable. For starter, aweber is excellent. Getresponse is not bad too.
The author asked about a program not a service. As I understand constantcontact and others are servicies which means that they will require a per month/campaign subscription fee. So can you suggest a good mail marketing program or solution which could be installed on my own server? Thanks.
For a PROGRAM you have a couple of choices . Desktop or Server Software. You will need to check with your hosting service regarding their email policies for the server software. (Just Google "Open source email script" to get a list) You will need to check with your ISP for desktop software route. Most don't allow bulk email for commercial purposes. My experience is that both of the above will either get most of your email blocked or your webhost or ISP will shut you down. Best to use a hosted service like Aweber even if it costs. Good luck!
Sorry but maybe he calculated the risk to be blocked by his ISP and he really want to use a Desktop program to send emails. So, what program's do you recommend
I'm sure it should be a server software because need to track open and click stats. As for Aweber and other simmilar servicies I think they are good if the list is about 1000~10.000. Also such servicies usually have a stupid anti-spam policy e.g. 0.2% of complains...
