    Hello!

I got a little question. This is the first time i want to start something with e-mail marketing.
E-mail marketing is not my thing and for this one not important at all, but it's a good e-mail list building.

    What i want to do.
    1. People have to sign up for my website
    2. They sign up with a Username , Password and E-mail adress.
    3. Now this is what i want normally, but now i want to use this e-mail adresses later somewhere.
    4. Can i put on: With signing up you agree to recieve the newsletter,

Is that legal? Or would that become problems?

They have no choise, or sign-up and get the newsletter, or nothing.

Please, i don't want to hear questions about customers will not like that, they will feel forced etc..

    Thanks!

    Cheers!

The laws governing electronic mailings vary by country so you have to look at it based on where you are located.

If you send confirmation email, you do not need a checkbox
    double opt-in

The above comment is correct. If you use a service such as AWeber, etc., use double opt-in. The first e-mail they receive will let me know they're subscribing to an e-newsletter, etc., and to "click here" if they agree to doing so. Then they're in. :)
