    I'd assume e-gold is just in dead pool no. My account also had few $k's but I really have no way that can be recovered, at least for now. For future, I see no hope that it'll be ever released.

    I think you can exchange it to PayPal through someone. Also many shopping sites accept e-gold.

    Yep you have plenty options to choose,
    i would suggest, finding a trustworthy exchanger,
    then exchange it out for cash.
