What the hell? How safe is it to use e-gold and why do so many people still insist on using it? I hope using e-gold is 100% legal as a consumer?

4 months old news and I was worried too when I read this but you see E-gold is still growing and going fine. No need to worry about all crap. If I'm not wrong Dr. Douglas had cleared things about money laundering. So don't worry about that. E-gold is not going anywhere despite all these rumors.

Cool. I wish it was less of a pain in the e-ass to get E-gold though. You can't buy it with paypal and most of those places don't even take a CC.

I'm worried, because e-gold will someday vanish. I am sensing it and it is a matter of time only.

Sorry, but where do you see e-gold "growing" right now? And no need to "worry"? How about omnipay? It´s still not working again. For the moment everything is still fine but for how long?

Can you see the number of egold accounts? When I joined it a year + back my account was in the series of 23***** and now it has passed 47*****. So don't you call it growing? 4 months ago it was in the series of 39***** and I guess 500 thousand accounts in 4 months is not a bad progress?

Why worried when we heard same things about it for the past 4+ months and it is still fine without any problem??

I'm not sure about the problem with Omnipay as I don't use them and most of the people too.

For how long e-gold will be OK ?? MY own perception is more then years. if you are so much worried about egold then stop using it but don't stop people who want to use it. E-gold is working fine for me for more than a year for me and it still will. If anyone has anything about E-gold then stop using it, you can't do anything more.

Despite whether some of you like e-gold or not, the fact of the matter remains that the REAL reason why the government is trying to shut it down is because they don't control it, pure and simple.

E-gold is more of a threat to them than even Paypal, simply because e-gold deals with GOLD, which is better than using paper dollars. As the U.S. dollar continues to be devalued in relation to the euro, the U.S. government will look to shut down any gold or silver based currency networks, simply because they know that its impossible to inflate either silver or gold.

Once the U.S. suffers a major financial collapse(which I and many experts in the government and economics believe will happen soon) the government will quickly look to confiscate any gold or silver they can get their hands on.

This means online gold services like e-gold will be a target. If you're going to use e-gold, I strongly suggest you avoid keeping large amounts of money in the account for extended periods of time, and transfer it out as soon as possible. Otherwise, your account could eventually be frozen.

E-gold is easy to use by criminals in many ways. The only reason its good is that people from places that dont have paypal can pay on the net. Else E-gold is shit.

Uhhh no, its quite possible to inflate and deflate the relative value of silver and gold. Hunt Brothers ring a bell? How about the way DeBeers jacked up the price of diamonds.
