E-Gold - Alternate Passphrase?

    Whats the use of Alternate Passphrase in E-Gold? They ask for it while making a new account. It says "(Payment verification use)" under it's tab but they never asked me for it anytime.. Anyone know what it is used for?

    Alternative passphrase is used for automatic payments. For example if someone makes you a script to do automatic payment via egold then that script would need alternative passphrase to send payments otherwise it can't. I forgot the exact terminology used for this but this is what alternative passphrase is used for.

    automatic payments as in mass payments to many at the same time.

    Alternate Passphrase is for not human, ie: script.
    Let say you have a game script where you pay the winner automatically via E-Gold.
    In order to your script able access your account it need your E-Gold id number and Alternate Passphrase to do a spend from your account to the winner.

    Thanks for your explanation, guys. At first I thought that it is used when you forget the real passphrase.. lol... but I know the exact use now.. Thanks everyone.
