What must an ecommerce store have? A reasonable advertising budget. If you're in a big niche then you're likely to be competing against some big companies, so you'll have to have a big enough marketing budget to be up there with them. Also, don't sell crap products, this will make your task ten thousand times harder. Good products are harder to sell than crap products. May sound obvious, but if it's a crap product,then the sales figures will be crp unless you're very good at being a salesperson. As for the design, make it clean. No one buys from sites that look cheap. Keep it minimalistic, and don't crowd it. Your design is your first impression, if you make it look like a bad site then you wont get sales. Try and keep it clean and minimalistic and you'll do good
