I have been having an issue with duplicate content and the CMS. The old page still exists even if I change the product category name. (xxx.com/cetegory-name). When I type in xxx.com/ffjskhewiufuisdf-category-name, it leads directly to the right page and a URL that appears weird appears. I have been thinking if this could lead to issues with content duplication even though I don’t understand it that well. Also, a new URL is created and all the internal and external backlinks are lost when the category name changes. In Google, some pages also have gotten indexed twice. What could be the problem here? Any suggestions?
You have changed the category but search engines have indexed URL with previous category. You should wait for some time as it will take time.... The problem will be solved.
