Hi Fellow Digital Pointers I came across this site where you can get some great e-books, software etc with resale rights for ---- FREE ! Operation Black Box Enjoy the downloads Monkloop
Nice resource, but to be honest I hate these types of sites. You got to give your e-mail adres etc, that's fine. Then they ask you to upgrade which is no longer free, so I choose "hell no" then the next page asks me the exact same thing and again I'm choosing heck no. Then finally I arrive at the page I wanted, I click "charter downloads" and I can choose from eight or nine different pages, great! But only a few of the products you see for free can be downloaded directly. To download the rest I have to type in my e-mailadres and name EVERY goddamn time. Although I am interested in some files (I said some, because I already own a lot of them) I'm not going to download them because I don't want to keep on getting mails from different marketers with offers I couldn't care less about. Besides all of this, still it's a great find and has lots of information , so thanks to you greetz, jobic
The reason for the extra opt ins after the initial of joining the site, is because it is being done as a typical giveaway. Where product owners have provided their item for the giveaway as long as the site directs it's members to a page where they have to opt into the gift giver's list.
hah I know that, but that still doesn't take away the fact that I don't like it I'm just saying they've got links to their sites inside the ebooks, if their products are good enough the readers will come to the site (with an incentive) and then you could ask for emailadres etc. These days they take before they give, that just annoys me. greetz, jobic
Yup, Yup, John Reece has been preaching the "reverse squeeze" method for years, where you give and give and give, before you receive. Essentially you could provide a free download of a report, and not request an opt in, then in the report at the end of the info there is a link to a squeeze page to request info, so basically you get the chance to find out if this person has anything of value to share, then you can choose to opt in later to find out more.
