Well ive been running www my 16 bars (dot) com for almost 8 months now and the homepage is the only page that is really getting indexed. I just did an online sitemap generator and it said it only found 1 page and here there is only one page too http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://www.my16bars.com&fr=sfp Users submit their own content and after a few hours its off the homepage. Should google still be indexing it if its linked to on the site? Is google indexing it and i just dont know it? Please help me fix. Thanks.
try to link to other things on your website on your homepage which will help google discover the content.
Here's a little trick you can try. Other people either don't know about it or rarely talk about it. I've never seen it brought up. Install the Google Toolbar. Turn on the Page Rank indicator (It's off by default). Right click on the Google Toolbar, select Google Toolbar Options. Click Tools. Check PageRank if it is unchecked. You'll get a little popup/privacy confirmation box. This is because you're agreeing to send your surfing activity to Google. View numerous pages within your website several times per day. Google will receive data from your surfing, and they may start indexing some of your inner pages. I stumbled upon this by accident. I was working on a private, but publicly posted site for a client. The url had not been submitted to any search engines and it was a brand new domain name. Google indexed the site on its own. The only thing I did, was view the site with Internet Explorer, the Google Toolbar installed, and the PageRank indicator active. In short, Google indexed my clients page, which was only a week old, from data gathered via the Google Toolbar. It's worth a shot
I think you need build much more backlinks ,submit your site to some popular bookmark sites which are do follow, exchange links, write some article to publicize your site.
@wiresaw - no the site is 8 months old and there are over 60 new posts being added a day. @MRamses - thanks, awesome tip!
Mramses give you the best answer here and add me the better input as well now.so trust him and try what he said
What is the link to your sitemap? How many pages do you have in your website? I've had troubles before creating the sitemap with a generator as I mostly work with dynamic content so I have written my own xml-sitemap-creator Have you link the sitemap to google webmasters tool and yahoo site explorer? That way you can see what errors your sitemap returrned and how many pages are indexed by the links found in your sitemap.
do you write your article in article submisson? You must do it. Find relevan baclink and original content is a king.
try to submit u r site in digg, delicious, free press release, blogger, wordpress, u r site index in few days
You need to make proper internal linking and make a good sitemap and submit into the google webmaster tools
When I create new content I submit that content immediately to a couple of social networking sites and I have noticed that it doesn't take longer than a few days for the new content to be indexed.
