Does anyone know exactly which style is seen better by the top search engines(g,y,msn) ?

    1) dmoz style: host/directory/subpage/
    2) wikipedia style: host/wiki/something
    3) normal style: host/blabla.html

To me it seems that yahoo and msn dislike style #2.
    Google seems more flexible.

Does anyone know more and have arguments?

What evidence do you have to support that?

I believe the general consensus is the closer to the root directory the better. But, I dunno how much it matters.

I agree with that, but one exception would be you can get more keywords in the URL with a longer directory structure.
