    Hello folks...

It's the first time I am working on a website in ASP. It's a programmer which make the job, and I have few questions that I thought somebody has enough expirience to help me out...

The programmer build a content backoffice which will help me put new pages easily. In order to have a specific title and Meta tags I asked for few more options when I am filling up the form when addign new content in the backoffice. That way I will be able to control each page's title and meta-tags. I think it's a great way to have it more optimize than a lot of dynamic websites which have the same title and meta tags in all of the pages.

Before I give him the sign to start, I thought maybe I need to ask him for extra fields that will help me out...
Do you think this is the way to do it ? Will it be like normal, static pages?
I wonder if there is anything I need to make sure before I give him 'OK' to start working...

    Thanks in advance,

    Guy.

If you want to see how a content management system can manage the common aspects of on-page seo, go take a look at SEO CMS. It may take you a while depending on your experience, but you can work with it to determine what features you'd like in your own app. It's PHP based, not ASP, but it'll give you (and your developer) a few ideas.

For on-page seo purposes, you really need to look beyond simple title and metatag support.

    Cheers,

    JL

I agree, I have a CMS that allows me to control all url, meta, link, title, H1, 2, 3, html and mod_rewrite functions. It makes the process of adding content simple. This CMS however was custom design and took some time to create.

Hope this helps and gives you some ideas.
