Dynamic Modules

I am concerned about some elements of my site. I set up a module which shows the price of indexes and stocks, the data is taken from Yahoo server and is renewed every few minutes. It doesn't have any links (except the static link to the developer's site). But it makes the page refresh every few minutes. The url of the page and all other content are static either.
Will it have any impact on my SEO? I know that spiders don't like anything dynamic but I think this module is harmless. Am I wrong?
By the way, I want to create another module which will show random quotes or articles each time you open the page. Should I avoid this too?

whenever I use a module that refreshes the page I usually create a blank page just for the module and then display it on the public webpage with an iframe.
This way the module can refresh in the iframe without refreshing your entire page.
I also believe Google doesn't follow the content in the iframe.
