    I have a few ads running with it still, seems to be fine for me. Remember that if the keyword phrase is to long it's going to use the default phase you use when creating the keyword insertion.

    Also, if you've set up the position preference for the top 1-3 placements you may not be seeing the ad because it's still needs approval.

    When running with the position preference The best the ad can do is show on the right hand side. If the keyword phase in question shows AdWords ads in the blue above the search results those placements will be considered 1,2, and 3, leaving the right hand side to start at 4. This means your ad will never show until it's be approved because you have it set to only show if it's in the top 3 and google won't let the ad show in that keyword phases top 3.

    Not sure if that helps any.

    the phrase wasn't too long, im doing it like
    {KeyWord: alt phrase} blah blah

    is that right?

    theres a difference between singular and plural right? what happened was the singular form of the phrase didn't bold and it showed the one-character longer plural after the KeyWord

    this is for adwords right?

    I checked all around the site for info on dynamic keyword insertion and couldn't find it!

    can you explain real quick or point me to a link on Adwords site?

    is it just: {keyword}

    or the alt tag you guys showed.

    It's clearly been stated twice that this is the correct format!

    {KeyWord:Alt Phrase} capatalize all words
    {Keyword:Alt phrase} capatalize first word only
    {keyword:alt phrase} no capitilization.

    alt phrase has to be in your keyword list.
    any key word on your list will be replaced by that tag as long as it's number of characters fit google's policy. If it's too big, alt phrase will be used.

    Keep in mind that DKI may or may not work due to quality score issues. Pick your default text wisely...

    (if your QS is too low your default text will be used )

    Tell me one good reason why you shouldn't be allowed to use this string as an ad title:

    "Shop for {KeyWord:Alt Product}"

    It would depend on what "alt product" is.

    It is absolutely right. But your total keyword length has to limited to 25 char in case of Title and 35 chars in case of Description in each of the 2 lines.

    It is absolutely right David. For example:

    Ad Title: {KeyWord: Paris Apartments} For Rent , will work perfectly fine until it crosses the max. chars limit i.e. 25 chars in Ad Title. You can write the Ad title in other way also like:
    Paris {KeyWord: Rental Apartments}

    It is allowed, No Problems at all, until and unless your char limit does not cross as per the Ad guidlines.

    Not necessary to have "alt phrase" in your keywords list. Because you are using "alt phrase" as your default keyword directly in your dynamic keyword tag i.e. {keyword: alt phrase} , if any of your keywords in your keywords list are longer than the specified list then "alt phrase" will appear in place of that keyword and it is not necessary to have this keyword in your keywords list.
