Does anyone know what happens with MSN ads when you use {keyword} to dynamically insert the user's search string into your ad, but the user's search string is long enough that it makes your ad title longer than the 25 characters allowed? Is it truncated, or is there a way to specify a default title to appear as there is in AdWords?
Hi, If you dont want that your ads that has a long keywords will not be rejected you can use 2 adtext one is dynamic and the other is static adtext so that if your dynamic adtext fails coz it exceeds the character limit automatically your static adtext will be the one to be displayed. and your ads will not be rejected. I already tried it and it works, hope it works in you..
If you have a lot of keywords you want to use DKI for type in something after keyword in the ad text for example: {keyword: Visit For Great Offers} then if your keyword is over the amount allowed then visit for great offers will show up instead!!
check the lenght of your keywords if it really exceeds the keyword limit you cant really use the dynamic. all you have to do is make a static ads text for your keywods.
If when creating a dynamic ad, and one or many keywords are longer, then the only way to do is to create 2 different ads, one with dynamic keyword insertion i.e. {keyword} and the second one, a static one, with the Shorter Keyword (less than 25 chars) which should be your main keyword according to your campaign and other related keywords which would appear where you have longer keywords. For example: In my keywords list I have one keyword "Central London Apartments For Rent" which is more than 25 chars, for this I will create a separate ad with Ad Title as "London Apartments Rental" or something similar to that.
Hey detonate, We have the alternate text availible for example: {keywordefault text} Please note though, do not place any spacing between the 'keywordefalut' or it may not insert correctly. Also by using this format instead of the two seperate ads, we maintain a higher CTR and a better placement. Hope this helps! adcenterRep
