Hi everyone, I'm hoping to get some advice on a really frustrating situation I'm experiencing with Dynadot. They recently disabled one of my domains because of a complaint someone made about a post on the site. Dynadot sent me an email notification, but unfortunately, at that exact time, I was in the middle of an office move and didn't have consistent internet access, so I missed their initial email for a couple of days. Before I even had a chance to properly address it after getting back online, they had already disabled my domain because the content wasn't removed within their specified timeframe (which I hadn't seen). Ever since I realized what happened (over a week ago now), I've been sending multiple replies to their abuse/complaints team, explaining the situation with the office move and stating my willingness to remove the content in question. The problem is, I need the domain to be active to even access the backend and remove it! Despite my numerous emails, I have received zero response from their abuse team. I've also reached out to Dynadot's general chat support. They were able to confirm that they can see my replies in their system and said they would make notes for the abuse team that I've contacted them via chat. However, they also said that's all they can do and can't directly intervene or get the abuse team to respond. So, I'm stuck. My domain is offline, costing me money and impacting my users, and Dynadot is just not responding to any of my attempts to resolve this. What makes this even more frustrating is that I recently moved over 100 of my domains from GoDaddy to Dynadot because of their better pricing. I was planning on moving my entire portfolio of over 300 domains to them as they come up for renewal. But this experience is making me seriously reconsider. This level of unresponsiveness on such a critical issue is just crazy. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I can do to get their attention and get my domain back online? Has anyone experienced something similar with Dynadot? Are there other escalation paths or contacts I might be able to try? Any advice would be hugely appreciated. I'm at my wit's end here. Thanks.
Hey old friend/customer, How's everything? I hope everything is going well on your side. You are right to be frustrated. Being stonewalled by a registrar, especially over an abuse-related suspension that you’re actively trying to resolve, is not just stressful; it’s damaging to your operations and reputation. Check and Resend All Messages with Tracking. File a Complaint with ICANN Prepare a Backup Strategy While you work to get the domain back: See if you can access the host via IP address or admin panel (if separate from the domain). Begin migrating content (or a landing page) to a different domain, even temporarily, you may be able to use a spare or subdomain. Inform your users/customers via other channels (email, socials, etc.) and include a temporary redirect or notice if possible.
