DVD to a good YouTube format

    I need to rip a video (VOB) to display on YouTube. I understand they like MPEG the best. What's a good free or cheap program?

    MPEG Streamclip is the best free encoder out there. It allows you to export to all formats that QuickTime can (and requires free QuickTime player to work). Also, I think it will even import VOB (as long as it is decrypted/DRM free)
