I recently bought a super cheap Philips DVP3252 - it plays everything (CD, (S)VCD, DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, DivX, MP3, WMA and JPEG), and even has a USB slot to play DivX off USB sticks. Was only $68 AUD.
Possibly - most DVD players that can play DivX tend to make a big deal out of it (DivX logos all over the place etc). Just try it.
Yep. Just burn your DivX file to a CD (if it will fit), or a DVD. Or you could just look at the front of the DVD player and see if it has the DivX logo on it.
