DVD player not recognizing Movie

    Have dell dimension E310. Suddenly out of no where when I put a DVD Movie in it will not recognize the movie. It works fine with DVD games etc. Watching a movie when I insert it all i get is a green blinking light. I am using media player 10. Its strange because everything else works except Movies. Any ideas. Do feel its a software problem? Very bizarre happened out of nowhere.
