Why bother, the encryption on commercial DVD's is so weak that a freeware program can crack them. So basically anything you do would be just as easy to crack.
I've been using iSkysoft for a while. It does pretty much everything I've needed. I personnally think the best mac dvd ripper is currently Video Converter Ultimate. It handles a lot of DVDs others won't and it can recover scratched DVDs that no other software will dare to try. Free trial if you want to give it a go!
The scheme to protect DVDs has been broken. There are now freeware programs on the net that remove the copy protection on DVDs, allowing them to be played, edited, and copied without restriction. This should be no surprise to anyone, least of all to the entertainment industry. The protection scheme is seriously flawed in several ways. Each DVD is encrypted with something called Content Scrambling System (CCS). It has a 40-bit key. (I have no idea why. The NSA and the FBI shouldn't care about DVD encryption. There aren't any encrypted terrorist movies they need to watch.) It's not even a very good algorithm. But even if the encryption were triple-DES, this scheme would be flawed.
Try this DVD Ripper, it is specially designed for PC users which enable users to rip DVD to AVI, convert DVD to MPEG, rip DVD to WMV, DivX, MP4, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, RM, MOV, XviD, 3GP, MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, M4A, AAC, AC3, OGG, and more video/audio formats. It is a simple way to convert video on mac with this program, and output video effect is excellent.my experience
TuneBite is a great programs for removal of DRM and encryption on DVDs/Cds and its fairly user friendly as most of the process is automated.
