I am aware that many forums doesn't allow you to create tons of accounts using the same IP.(of course, that's dumb). But the story is, I was acquired by a Search Engine Marketing firm and so i recommended them DP. They created account and our accounts get banned (together with my 1 year old account). Our IP is shared, Geez..I should have known from the start. Now, I still want to use DP for the benefit of the team. How can I inform DP mods that "member1", "member2" and "member 3" that has the same IP are different people? Help please. Thanks!
Well you're not entirely alone in that situation mate. There are a lot of members here in DP that share the same IP address with their colleagues because they're in the same company/firm. I would suggest that you directly Shawn (DP owner) know about your situation so that he can take note of the IP address your company is using by sending him a PM or if there are other ways to let him know. The other points that you also have to bear in mind is that you should avoid giving iTraders to your colleagues.
lol. I didn't noticed that he mentioned he got banned before, anyways with that said, say I am working with an IT related firm and some of my colleagues also have their DP accounts. Would I get banned just because we both share the same IP even though we're completely different persons? Also how about if I logged in through DP in an internet cafe (obviously the IP would be different) would that still count? or it is not really all based in the IP addresses?
