I have a recipe submit site, and social network: www.cooktroop.com Most of the recipes are duplicated content with url as the source. Ingredients and preparation steps are copy/pasted. Now we are at the point where we want to turn on AdSense ads. But I'm afraid that we might be banned because of the duplicated content. Is it safe to turn on the AdSense ads? Thanks!
Borderline; but you would probably be ok. Google seems to be routinely rejecting new recipe sites for adsense. I assume you already have an adsense account?
Yes I have. I add the AdSense ads for a week or so, but than I was afraid that I will be banned so I stopped, until I figure is it even safe to turn the ads on. I saw AdSense ads in dozens of similar sites.
Your content could get you banned from AdSense because it's likely stolen. All it takes is one angry webmaster whose content was stolen to file a DMCA with AdSense.
It is not always like that. Lots of foodies have theirs own blog, and just copy/paste the recipe. And all recipes have the url of the original recipe as the source. So you think that I have to receive a complaint in order to be banned? I will not be automatically banned if the google algorithm notice that I have a duplicated content? Thanks.
