Submit a removal request on Google webmaster tools to remove all copied page URLs. That's what I just did. I had several pages of content with english classics short stories. I didn't find any reduction in ranking due to this, but I just wanted to be safe and submitted all these urls to be removed.

I don't think duplicate articles linking to your website can cause a drop in rankings. If you duplicate articles it will just nullify the links from those articles.

But on the other hand if the duplicate content is on your own website that is when it can affect your rankings.

If you can remove the duplicate articles on the other sites, then that will help. Also, add lot of new content in your site so that the duplicate content affect minimize and hope fully the duplicate penalty will be removed.

In my post How to Avoid Blog or Website Penalization from Google, I mentioned this problem. People simply duplicate their site contents in article sites. Now my suggestion for you is-

Change the title of all duplicate posts in your website.

Change the placement of the contents of the posts. Minor edit( +, - ) will work.

Just wait for few days, your site will recover.

Have the content removed and then visit http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35843 to have your site reconsidered.

There is no duplicate content penalty. Google is fully aware of the fact that a single site may have multiple versions of the same text accessible through different URLs (just look at Wordpress) and they are also fully away of the fact that lots of articles get syndicated on lots of different websites ALL THE TIME (just look at Reuters or AP). So to claim that they penalize a site for a totally legitimate tactic is bullshit.

Google tries hard to index and show pages with distinct information. This filtering means, for instance, that if your site has a "regular" and "printer" version of each article, and neither of these is blocked in robots.txt or with a noindex meta tag, we'll choose one of them to list. In the rare cases in which Google perceives that duplicate content may be shown with intent to manipulate our rankings and deceive our users, we'll also make appropriate adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the sites involved. As a result, the ranking of the site may suffer, or the site might be removed entirely from the Google index, in which case it will no longer appear in search results

I seen some of my articles are directly being copy and post on other people;s blog, in rewards they provides me back link and my website details.
I dunt think it will be considered as duplicate content.
As many companies are already doing the same.
Well i suggest you to stop article submissions, you just publish your article on your blog or website, you will get better benefit later on.

Well, removing submitted articles will be a tough jobs especially if you already submitted many articles.

One thing I can suggest is that you uploaded fresh articles to your website as frequent as you can. Maintain it uniqueness. Your ranking might be back there after.

I think this is not because of duplicate article submissions. The SERP's drop happen to most of us. Just try to concentrate on how to improve your content and build some decent backlinks, you'll reach top positions again.

HI, first of all find the keywords matching your sites niche then search for the stuff. After you have collected the important data then start framing an article. Make the high traffic keywords bold so that robots easily find your webpage suitable.
