Just noticed an oddity in my Google Webmaster Tools. When I click "Links" then view the "Pages with external links" i see a good number of my 1200 URLs are listed twice. In eah case the URL is exactly the same but the link number is often different, though just buy a few. Anyone else seen this? Coincidentally or not, I've noticed several of my pages drop in ranks in Google the last month and my homepage PR go from 7 to zilch! Though I'm not really worried about PR/search traffic, just interested in these dup. urls right now.
I've seen that a few times but normally there is a difference in capitalization url.com/page1.htm url.com/Page1.htm seems google get confused at times when links come in with different caps.
one thing I have noticed about the Links tool is that it shows links from external sites that are not even cached in google. These links are not new and the sites are not new. so why would google recognize a link from a page that is not even cached? does this go against all the rules about finding quality links?
The tool does not seem to give an indication of the quality of the link. Only that it is there. I believe that Google can index a site and not cashe it. You can request that in the HTML header of your site (I have no Idea why you would want to).
I also have URLs shown in duplicate with diff capitals as adacprogramming pointed out, but I can understand those. These are 100% identical. Strange stuff...
