I would like to know how to avoid posting a duplicate thread since this is a huge forum that should have a realiable search function, but internal search is worst than before. I posted yesterday a thread that was deleted (duplicate thread) but I spent over an hour searching internally, searching with Google and even browsing several pages to find any duplicate that never came up... but found after thread was posted. Any chances to improve the search function or get Google sending you to those duplicates, because if you find one, it send you to the index page, what makes you believe a thread was indexed but deleted so there is no way to know until you have nothing better to do than spend all day (or a whole week) browsing all DP threads
What the heck were you searching for exactly that took you an hour and didn't find anything? Your thread was about Google's URL shortener.. did you try searching for "Google URL shortener" (with the quotes) with the search here or Google (only mention it since you said you used Google too)... http://www.google.com/search?q=site:forums.digitalpoint.com+"google+url+shortener"
Yes, I tried with quotes, in both forum and Google, no idea why nothing came up until I posted and see previous posts below. Perhaps my mistake, I would equest thread deletion rather than wait for an infraction *** sigh ***
