I think if the details of the offer change you should be able to post a new thread. If the page rank, pricing structure or anything else important changes in the offer you should be allowed to make a new thread because the entire value has changed. For example if I start a new website with very few backlinks and zero page rank and low content I might want to offer links at a certain price for a short duration for the first few advertisers. Then three month later if I get a page rank of 2 and acquire more backlinks and traffic I might want to offer longer durations and a higher price. Or I might acquire a new site in the same niche and want to offer a combo deal. I know people find ways to abuse this by selling a link for $19.99 instead of $20 but that should be dealt with on a thread-by-thread basis.
hate to say it, but DP could care less about your opinion. They already decided on the No duplicate thread idea. Or paid or changes to the bumping proceedures in the BST section. Just saying your "feedback" is falling on deaf ears and might as well be blackholed.. lol
and then why you not just wait for a while until your website get better ranking or backlink,.. and then you can sell link on BST section,.. LOL
I have seen Mods post this a number of times so maybe you should do some searching? And while we are on you could comment on this post. Thanks Brian
maybe i should do some searching? what does an iTrader thread have to do with this besides nothing. we may, on occasion, edit someones thread. its not written in stone that we will "happily" do it cause we won't. once you open that Pandora's box it'll be hell cause everyone and there brother or sister will want their threads edited. so don't go around saying we'll do something when its not the norm.
I posted an answer that I had seen posted by a Mod on an earlier occasion, I therefore thought that it was the norm. Apologies for using the word HAPPY. The other post, I was waiting for some clarity. I wouldn’t want to give people the wrong advice, when you can put me straight before hand. Thanks Brian
So you can ask a moderator to edit all the details that have changed in a previously posted thread. Sounds like a huge work-load for mods.
If the bottom line is the same then it is considered a dup thread. If you don't know what a bottom line is then you shouldn't be in the buying-selling business .
That is not what I got from reading the sticky, it seemed to mean that if you made a thread about selling a link on a website ever, you can never make one again for the same site.
