Hello Everyone, An idea came to me, and being a newbie, I figure many others have thought of this. I have some simple sites that site in the top ten for serps for specific keywords. Well having learned how to make the site(or page) a winner, I was wondering if I made another domain(or page on another domain) another winner, without duplicating content. Now I can create two pages in the top ten. Then I thought, why stop there? For the cost of a few domains, I could dominate the first page of some serps. Has anyone thought of this, or know of people that do it? (no need to mention names). I haven't done it, it was a fleeting thought, and I loss focus too easily to capitalize on all my insane thoughts. Any feedback? tom
It's all about return on investment. Time invested vs. the additional value of having all the top ten links vs. only the top one. For the websites that I have, the ROI would be very low and time investment extremely high. But for some others, it would be maybe doable...
If you can get one site in the top 10, what's stopping you from getting more? even for the same keywords? I'm not saying it wouldn't be hard, but where do you get off saying you doubt anyone could do it?
Anyone here care to prove me wrong? Hey, getting hit by lightning is possible... hitting the jackpot is possible... but I really don't think getting 3 or more sites ranked for the same term is something you are going to see
2 sites maybe... I also had that once happening at MSN... but 3 or more... I hope someone here can show us an example, it sure would be an interesting case
I have 2 sites in the top 10 on all 3 engines for one "two word" phrase that I target, its a good term as well that pays. I have 3 sites in the top 10 on one of the engines. I think at one point on MSN I had 6/10 for the results, that was 4 sites. On Yahoo today one of my sites is No 1,3,10 for a term and I have other sites that also rank in there. These are not duplicate sites, well they are based on the same theme - but differ in text/design and have their own unique identity.
I know a guy who's done this for a few certian phrases. Sorry, I'm not prepared to out him (Even in PM).
