Duplicate Signature Anchor Text - Help or Hurt?

Ok... hope you guys can help here. I am keying in on a certain phrase for my website. I have it in the anchor text of all of my signatures on all of the forums I post on. I currently have about 500+ forum posts(all relevant I promise) on sites that do not have the "nofollow" on them. Will having the same exact anchor text on multiple forums help or hurt me? I just want to make sure before I keep driving myself to carpal tunnel for nothing. Thanks.

I would suggest you use different anchor text for your signatures on different sites. This will be better in SEO view point rather than only focusing on one.

It won't hurt you but if you use slightly different keywords you'll hit a wider spectrum of keywords and not just those few.

It will not hurt you, but google can ignore some of your links, if the structure of your signature is the same on the all forums.

A good comment adds to the conversation, provides useful information and relevant links. The commenter doesn’t drop many links to his/her multiple blogs or websites in the comment text.......

It won't hurt you in the search engines in fact it will help you. The more times Google sees your keyword on the internet linked to your site, the more weighting it will give in SERPS. However it is also good to use different keywords on different sites to spread the net wider and pick up new visitors.

I'd do it for a bit with different keywords, then change them to something else or just swap them over. Good to mix it up a bit.

Mix it up. I would assume that you would like to rank for more than one term. Choose related words to go with your main keywords.
