Whats your point of view on duplicate meta titles? i have a gaming site with multiple consoles which offer same games and to keep my meta titles short i have some duplicate meta titles but they are on different urls for example domain.com/gameboy/game-name.html and domain.com/ps3/game-name.html so what do u think what is their impact on SEO.
If it's easy to come up with titles that are different, even if they're not completely different, I'd recommend doing it. I don't think it's so much that you're going to take a hit for it, but you may be able to improve some rankings if you don't have multiple pages on your site with the same title tag.
If its a problem with Google it will show up in your webmaster account, if it does deal with it then.
