Hows everybody doing...I am learning that i can advantage a lot from correcting the title/alt tags in my photos to help them show more in google images....I know duplicate content, as far as posts being the same on 1 site and other sites isnt good but whats the rule here for Title tags for images... ******************************************** Heres my example Lets say i have 2 posts which contain New Era Yankees Hats.. Lets say i code 1 photo to have the title/tag "Yankees Hats" in 1 post and do the same for another post contain another yankees hat, just a different style. ********************************************* Is that a bad idea...Should i title one Yankees Hats 1 and the other Yankees Hat 2 or is it fine for them to have the same title/alt tag if they are both different images and have different image locations on the site...
You forget, the image crawler can tell by the hash that the pictures are different So you could have 50 pictures of the same hat, just a different style and it would be able to tell they are all unique pictures.
Trust me on this one... I have never had a duplicate image or duplicate content penalty on a website (or page) for using a keyword or keyphrase too much (alt text or title text). I have one site that I have added the same alt="keyword" to so many pictures, that ranks well, that it isn't even funny. I do have to admit that if I was Google or Yahoo, I'd even ban myself for what looks like alt tag spam!. I dont think they look for this yet though... Good luck ranking on them images though. P.S. - My signature space is loaned out, so that isn't an example.
