Duplicate Content

    If my site has some pages with duplicate content, but other pages with original content....will Google penalize only the pages with duplicate content or my entire site?
    Also, similarly, if someone copies and pastes an article in my forum, will only that page be penalized or my entire forum?

    You pages will be penalised; that means some part of your sites goes into supplemental.

    Google will de-index those pages with dup content.

    Duplicate contents will certainly not be helpful and might even drag your entire site down.

    Try to keep you site with original content as much as you can, and yes the pages with duplicate content will get penalized not the whole website.
