I'm wondering if I plan to rewrite a PLR article what percent would I require to pass the duplicate content penalty?
    Thanks in advance

Just rewrite what keyword the PLR is optimized for, add some paragraph's a poof!

    You should be good!

The effort that you will be putting into re-writing an existing article, you can write a NEW unique article. Don't waste your time re-writing a lot of stuff, it really isn't worth it in the end.

That is so true, but what I plan to do is use jet spinner to spin 10 articles each which will make it worth the time however it's hurting my brain and my writing trying to think of adjective. I enjoy writing the unique articles off research better but they take too much time. So I'm going to pay someone to help me write ready to spin jet spinner article. I just need to know how many percent is needed to avoid google eyes.
    thanks

Do you have any idea on the exact percentage that I should have because I'm going to use jet spinner to rewrite.

I think at least 50% change should be good .

Google's first link on my search about dup content was pretty clear ... and interesting. It doesn't really give a % amount, but does say "substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar." My query was "how to avoid duplicate content."

Also, Chris Smith posted an article rewriter on another Forum (he's calling it testimonialware); it has some suggestions for synonym replacer in it as well. ww.ProfitsWithChris.com

If you find out there is a specific % that needs changing, please let us know!

There is no specific percentage, if you're going to spin or rewrite the content do so in a way that reads differently and gives the article more of your perspective. Not only will you not be penalized for dupe content but your readers will reward you by sharing it.
