duplicate content ?..

    ok i have a duplicate content ?... heres a screen shot what i mean..

    i have the lead article, it has some of the content before u click read more.. then right below it, it has a tiny description of it to..

    that wont hurt me will it?

    look in the black box.. thats what i mean..

    In my opinion, you should not have a problem with the example you have. Overall, if your site has lots of original content then you should never have a problem.

    I think the content is good. It's originally.. I mean it isnt copied from other site. So I dont see a problem for you :) It will be easily indexed by google, I think..

    I can't post links, but Google "Canonical url" and click the top link. It's a neat new trick fro eliminating the Duplicate content penalty.

    If Google punishes duplicate content, which it says it does, it does a poor job enforcing it. I constantly see duplicate content. Often times in Google's top 10 you will see Wikipeida and 3 other sites scraping it.

    I look up a specific thing and I can find two or three blogs scraping each other on Google's first page.

    Erica. Duplicate content is not when one site has the same content as another. It's when you have the same content in more then one place on your website.

    I was also under the impression that duplicate is when more then one site has the same content, but then I did some research. It even says so on one of Google's info sites. I think it was Matt Cutts website.

    My humble request dont encourage duplicate content. Content is king for SEO. Do your own content to get topper.
