Duplicate content within the site

    I run a vBulletin forum and I'm a bit worried if Google involves in it's ranking the fact that thread pages often contain "duplicate content", created via the

    Seriously though, more concern is the duplicate content created with Print Versions, Archive Versions, Showpost Versions, Calendars etc.

    Content simply being quoted within the same URL is no issue, or even created across pages due to the other content thrown in. You can always hack vB to only display the contents of BB code like quote to members only that way Google doesn't see it if your worried. I wouldn't bother personally, there's 101 things to improve with vB and SEO other than quote's.

    Can't forget the duplicate issues with hybrid and threaded mode as well :D

    No kidding. Another reason why I can't stand vBulletin. (Though SMF has its issues as well.)
