Duplicate content with different model numbers - penguin or panda?

    Hi there,

On our web site we currently have a different page for each model for the SAME accessory. For example, if there was an accessory that fitted the iPhone 3, 4 and 5 we would have 3 different accessory pages and the only difference on the page would be where it refers to the model number ie. iPhone 3, 4 or 5.

Our web site has lost some ranking in Google over the past 6 months. Should we consider having 1 page for each accessory and then list what it is compatible with rather than have separate accessory pages for each model? Is this causing our pages to be ranked lower?

    Thanks for your help,

    Matthew.

Sounds to me like you might be over obsessing with one factor that really should not be having thta much of an effect on your SERPS, but blindly giving advice about such things without more info & taking a look is not really the best way to give you any useful insights and in fact could do more harm than good if you followed such advice.

A case of the blind leading the blind, if you get my drift..

If it was me, I would have had unique content for every model number.
