    hi,

i have just set up an ecommerce site for which i have also set up a blog for news and product content. the ecommerce store is at www.domainname.co.uk and the blog is at www.domainname.co.uk/blog.

i want to parse the blogs RSS feed and display the blog on the homepage so visitors can see news content on the home page, however this means that some of the blog content would be duplicated as it would appear on the home and blog root. would i be penalized for this?

if so i could use robots no follow, but i want the blog post permalinks to be indexed, how would i do this and is it worth it given the answer to my first question.

thanks, any help would be appreciated.

I think you can post little snippet of content on the homepage and have the full content in the blog folder. Also you can put direct permalink of the posts on the homepage which will make it crawling of your posts quicker.

    Just my opinion!

You can add a news ticker just like kash said.
