Dear friends, Recently, I get some emails from article sites asking me to have some of my tutorials published in their sites and they will have a link to my site and some about the author info. This really makes me happy because they are the ones who contacted me and I was not the one who asked them to publish my tutorials but I get worried about duplicate content because if I do that, there will be copies of my tutorials in their sites and mine. Do you think I should get worried about that? will this hurt my site rather than helping it? Please give me some advice mates.
Your best bet is to rewrite the tutorial so it is not a duplicate of your website and let others use that on thier site. Weigh up the cost it will take you to rewrite the article and the benefit you will get from having the backlink.
Yes agreed, just rephrase it and change the sentence structure a little. As long as you can find the tut in waybackmachine archive then you could prosecute any copyright infringements.
Frankly, I think there is far too much worrying about duplicate content. IMO, as long as you change the titles, rewrite the first and last paragraphs on a given page and rearrange the first sentence of the other paragraphs you'll be OK. Shouldn't take too long.
Unique comments to all articles on your site helps, but don't let republish your tutorials to many sites (for ex. > 100) - will be duplicate content issue and it's very bad for google.
