duplicate content question

I have a question about duplicate content. Many of my pages are similar (like up to 50%) and I think it's because I tried to fit all my keywords on each page. Could this be hurting my home page rankings? I used http://www.webconfs.com/similar-page-checker.php to check for similar pages. Should I remove some keywords from the pages, or it is something else?

Don't try to "fit all your keywords on all your pages".
Use a max of 5 - 6 keywords for one page and the next set on a different page.
This works much better than pages with lots of keywords.

"Create pages for visitors" this will be the key, then continually increase your backlinks and add fresh content to your web, you will see your desirable results in couple of weeks.

Do not fill the webpage with just the keywords. Concentrate on 3-4 keywords per page. This could be better.

If you have duplicate content rephrase it and don't put to much keyword on a content.I advise you to create you own content.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but duplicate content coming from the same ip is worse than duplicate content from other sites.

    Hey there,

The content on the pages is his own.

He is talking about the template being used is causing page similarity to be higher within his own website.

The only truly duplicate content is on his real estate property pages because that information is pulled from a service multiple realtors use in his area.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

You'll achieve better rankings and appear for more keywords, if you use a limited set of different keywords for each page and you dup issue will vanish automatically.

    Hello,

Just one advice please check the content on your site using copyscape. And if it clears copyscape no worries about duplicate content.

Also, if at all you have duplicate content it won't hurt your ranking in any case. It's just that if you are using content with copyrights then you the one having the copyrights can sue you for that. :)

About keywords, please maintain a keyword density of 2-4% in your content. Which means if you are writing 100 words make sure your keywords are not repeated more than 2-4 times.

I think this answers all your questions :)

I didn't say that you are a copy cat but there are some instances that some of the information like for example about bibliography of person you cannot change his date of birth but you can rephrase some of the sentence get it? And take a deep breath and relax....
