Duplicate content question

I have my main site, http://princeporter.com, and I have my blog at http://blog.princeporter.com. I'm working on a mod now to have my newest blog post displayed on the front page of my main pages site, scrolled down a bit below the games. My question is, if the title is the same, and the article bit shown is identical to that of my blog, will I be penalized in any way? If not penalized, is this a good idea? Is it purely up to me? Thanks for any input.

no it's ok, google is smart enough to deal with this and comprehend that it just a preview of the real blog post, don't worry about it.

The only penalty is non-indexing for duplicate content, so if one site has the exact same content as another, one will be indexed and one will not be.

My main page has my featured game, article on the featured game, 10 newest games, 3 games randomly in each category and so on, I'm just adding the latest blog post as well. so as far as content, that will be the only duplicate content and it's only a preview, and probably only 10% of the pages content. Thanks for the responses, I'll get to work on this right away.
