Duplicate Content Question

I've been researching duplicate content and I'm still a bit confused.

Recently, a very popular automotive forum picked up my feed and posts excerpts of my blog into their news forum (it has the same title and same first 400 characters or so).

As this is being posted on a completely unique/unrelated domain, Google does not consider this to be duplicated, correct?

    Thanks,

    John

Just because a website has duplicate content, it doesn't mean that site will necessarily get penalized or banned. There are plenty of valid reasons for using duplicate content. Usually Google just won't index pages that primarily consist of duplicate content.
