I want to submit articles to article directories to build links to my sites. However, I am confused about duplicate content penalties. My article will be original meaning that it is not from my site. However, if I submit that same article to multiple directories, will this cancel each article submission out? Will I still get a back link if I submit that same article to multiple directories? Thanks for your help.
Most of webmasters submit same articles multiple directories and yes you still get a back links for your site.
Duplicate content doesnt cancel out the links unless the entire site is a duplicate of another..I've tried it with lots of articles and gotten and kept alot of links that way..
don't worry about duplicate content because that is what content syndication means. I heard from some expert in article marketing said that there is no duplicate content penalty on duplicate articles just filter. it won't hurt your ranking at all. duplicate content becomes a penalty when you have the same content on your site but on different pages. it is like trying to use the same content but targeting different keyword phrases.
Submit the same articles to hundreds of article directories. Search engines doesn't penalize your site. Don't worry!! I personally use this method. GREAT!
I believe you don't get penalized, but do you really benefit? Is 5 article directories not as good as 500? Or do the links start to get watered down and less effective?
I don't think you get penalized, especially if you are the original author. You should be allowed to put your content on all the sites you like.
