    Hi people,

Some other website has duplicated content from my site and my site has been omitted from the Google SERPs!..... any ideas as to what I can do to make Google aware of this problem and get them to remove the other site as the Google which we all think is really smart and clever isn't so clever...

I have contacted the other webmaster and they have not responded for weeks,.... any ideas please?

    Thanks
    Jbone

I think it will not affect your site and will give your pages more weight-age. I hope it will be back with new and good SERPs.

Also, you can report the problem here:

This will never affect your site because if google would act this way, everyone could outrank competition by simply sharing content from your site :)
So...if your content is original there is nothing to worry about

I think Google also considers the age of the content. If the content is yours, naturally it will be older compared to the duplicates. As advised by many here, report it to Google.

I don't think you should worry about it. Google will consider the age of the content eventually. However, if it takes way too long to see the result, you have nothing to do, either.
    Just leave it.

My suggestion is, you should complain to the hosting admin about those articles. I believe they will remove those articles.
